Sculpting the Intersection of History, Material and Form.

I was born in 1987 in Cieszyn, Poland, and my journey as an artist has been one of constant exploration and evolution. I have always been drawn to the tension between opposing forces—whether it’s the balance of soft, organic shapes against rigid, geometric forms, or the blend of history and modernity.

These contrasts come through in my work, blending the natural world with human-made, urban structures. I’m drawn to unexpected sources of inspiration: the expressive energy of Abstract Expressionism, the precision of Modernist design, and the raw practicality of Brutalism. I am fascinated by the idea of how things are made and what they represent. These influences shape my sculptures, where the rational and industrial meet the soft and emotional, creating a dynamic that allows the pieces to connect on a personal level with anyone who encounters them.

I work primarily with stoneware and metal, two materials that allow me to push the limits of texture and form. Stoneware, with its raw, organic nature, offers a unique challenge—its imperfections and capacity for transformation bring complexity and character to my sculptures. I’ve developed my own finishes and glazes to bring out the material’s full potential. In recent years, I’ve also begun incorporating metal into my work. Metal opens up new possibilities, enabling me to explore a more structured and industrial aesthetic and also combine volumes creating more complex forms.

I began exploring sculpture and painting in 2005, and while much of my artistic development has been through self-guided practice, I studied the history of language at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland. This academic experience provided me with a deeper understanding of how language and history shape the most creative form of communication—art.

In addition to my sculptures, I have also been exploring the world of collectible design. But rather than approaching this field in a conventional way, I’ve taken on collectible design through the lens of sculpture. My designs aren’t merely functional objects; they are works of art in their most sculptural form. Each piece is meticulously crafted, not just for its utility but for its aesthetic and emotional impact.

Currently, I live and work in Malaga, Spain, where I continue to develop my craft. Every sculpture I create is a one-of-a-kind piece, exclusive to Studiotwentyseven, where the essence of my creative journey is shared with the world. Whether it’s through the timeless qualities of clay, the starkness of metal, or the emotions embedded in my sculptural forms, my work continues to evolve—grounded in a love for history, material, and the stories we tell through the objects we create.
